How to create new fields?
How to rename existing fields so not to lose the populated data within existing field? |

Shawn,
To create new fields, goto the Settings -> Customize Extra Fields location. There, you can create new fields for candidates, contacts, job orders, and companies.
Renaming a field will not remove the data within the field.
You cannot modify or remove standard fields, just create new ones and edit other custom ones. |

Shawn,
Your user access level would need to be Site Administrator for your to modify these settings. Your existing site administrator can promote you to this level. |

Tony,
I have now logged in as the Site Admin and there is no "customize extra fields" in the Settings tab. What to do? |

Tony,
Logged out and re-logged in - now there.
Question, how can I change the "2nd email" address in the candidates to a custom field and not lose the existing data? Thanks |

Shawn,
From my first reply:
Quote: You cannot modify or remove standard fields, just create new ones and edit other custom ones.
Since 2nd email is a standard field, you cannot edit this. Just create a new custom field by clicking the Add Custom Field button.
If you don't want to view the "2nd email address", goto any candidate's profile and find the "padlock" icon on the top right hand side. Click the padlock. This will unlock the fields. From here, you can rearrange the field display order via drag/drop and hide or show fields by clicking the eyeball icon on/off. |

Oaky - Why is the "2nd email address" not listed in the Columns drop down in the "candidate" tab? Can this been added seeing it is a standard field? OR it appears I will have to create a new field and have to change the populated data in this 2nd email field to the newly created field for each and every candidate. And this is be a tedious task... |

We haven't had anyone ask for that yet - just added that to the column list. |
