You can now add candidates to CATS via our parser in both a single and mass action - all from your Outlook Inbox!

To add a single candidate, highlight your email and do one of the following:

1) Click the CATS button on the plug-in and select Import Resume to CATS.
2) Right-click the email and select Import Resume to CATS.

To mass import candidates, hightlight two or more emails and do one of the following:

1) Click the CATS button on the plug-in and select Mass Import Resumes to CATS.
2) Right-click one of your emails and select Mass Import Resumes to CATS.

Question: How do I highlight two or more emails in my Outlook Inbox?

Answer: Left-click on the first email you want to highlight, and then hold down your CTRL key and left-click the next email you want to highlight, and so on...

Another way to highlight a lot of resumes (if they are all in order) is to left-click the first one, scroll down to the last one and hold down the SHIFT key and then left-click the last email that you want highlighted.

GREAT WORK GUYS!!
The mass import functionality is good. Could you explain the difference between "Add CATS Column" & "Add CATS import Column"?
What about the other functionality such as importing & attaching a candidate directly to a job order? Please review my older emails/posts on Outlook plug in. Hope they are under development.

Hi Tony,

Another thing, what is the difference between "Archive to CATS" and "Import Resume to CATS". Again referring to the outlook plug in off course.

The "Add CATS Column" will add a column to your inbox view that will indicate if an email has been archived to CATS.

Similarly, the "Add CATS Import Column" will add a column to your inbox view that will indicate if a resume/email has been imported to CATS.

With Archive to CATS, you are creating notes for the candidate. Import Resume to CATS is taking the resume attachment in the email (or the content of the email body) and adding it as a candidate to CATS, without creating notes for the candidate. Essentially, it creates the candidate record for you.

Tony not sure that I understand.

When we Archive an email we get a pop up which would either find a candidate if he/she exists or will give you an option to create a candidate or contact.

This new stand alone feature "Import Resumes to CATS" will then do what the old feature does from Archive screen?

The Quick Add you are referring to in the Archive to CATS screen is just that - a quick add. You can only enter First Name, Last name, and Email. The Import Resume to CATS feature will create a candidate record from the resume itself via parsing. This will add information such as First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Address, Key Skills, and anything else the parsing engine can pick up.
