WordPress Error: Will not bring up confirmation page
Message

Background: I use CATS as a backend but use the WordPress plugin so the pages display within my domain/website. When I try to send a listing to a friend or submit an application, the "processing" webpage displays as expected but the 404 error message detailed below is always displayed. But, I do receive the referred job posting and a confirmation that my application has been received. I cannot figure out why the confirmation page doesn't display. I run the CATS site from www.bluestonelogic.com/careers and inside WordPress, it tells me to add the External Jobs URL: http://bluestonelogic.com/wp/?cc=show&page_id=1518&id=%JOBORDER_ID%.

One page where this error occurs is the referring page: http://bluestonelogic.com/careers/?cc=sendtofriend&id=213187

Try to send the referral and you will see the error.

One guy tells me it is becaues it should be http://bluestonelogic.com/wp/careers/... but I am having trouble figuring out where to make that change (if it is even the correct change to make). What could be the problem?

ERROR MESSAGE:

404: I’m sorry, but the page or file you were looking for at http://bluestonelogic.com/wp/?cc=onapply The site administrator has been emailed about this problem and will try to fix it as soon as possible.

An out-of-date bookmark/favorite.
A failed search from the searchbar (try another search query).
A search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site.
A mis-typed address.

ANOTHER UPDATE: When I click on "Apply Now" from the emailed job referral, it goes to the CATS hosted website to show the job posting (bluestonelogic.catsone.com), not my internal website (bluestonelogic.com/careers/) to see the job listing.

Can you give me a list of any plugins that you are running for Wordpress?

It appears to be clean-URL related. I see what the problem is, I'm investigating how to solve it.

Are you asking for all the plugins that I have in WordPress? I am using the CATSOne plug in. I have a lot of different plugins active but if typing out every one will help, I can do it. Would prefer to avoid that if it isnt necssary as my time is short right now.

Yeah, if it's easier you can just copy and paste what's on your plugins page.

The problem is this. The plugin works on a stock install of WordPress (http://wordpress.catsbeta.com) without any problems. Therefore, when bugs crop up on field installs it's always because of 1 or 2 reasons:

1) Server differences (such as different versions of PHP, web server, etc.).
or 2) Because of a plugin that interferes or inhibits our plugins ability to function.

Most of the time when there's a problem, it's #2. From a support perspective, there's almost nothing I can determine from just looking at your website, since everything is hosted and managed by you. The only way I can help at all is by getting information, such as a list of plugins (so I can install them myself and look for conflicts) and version numbers of what you're running.

With the self-run plugins like our CMS tools, I can really only fix any bugs that crop up from #1 above or recommend removing plugins that break them. Beyond that, it's mostly DIY and there can be some work getting them going with lots of plugins.

If you don't have a lot of time and you need something running with complete support, I recommend just using our standard hosted career portal and having it branded. With domain masking, we can even setup a sub-domain directly to your server. When installed this way, everything still appears to run off your website, and appears to the end user the same as a CMS plugin would.

The plugins and versions I have activated are listed below. I should point out that I do not necessarily NEED any of these activated. Being new to WordPress, I wanted to see what they did and I simply left them activated. Can probably deactivate any and all you think should be deactivated in order to get this application working properly. Thanks for your assistance.

Hello, I am trying to get to a solution for the problem posted over two weeks ago. Please let me know what I can do to help you resolve this problem. This problem appears to be the only issue we have to address before the CATS functionality works properly within our domain, which is our preferred method.
