UPDATE:
I've temporarily disabled the collection and indexing of new documents created this evening and have begun implementing new indexing procedures that we finalized today (they have been in development for a little over a week). I expect to have everything live late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Our old system was encountering slowdowns and index hangups with our recent surge of new users.
The new system will index documents faster, more often (every 5 minutes -- even for mass imports) and will be far more scalable as we grow.
There's nothing you will need to do once the update is complete. The new version is already collecting all data (including data from documents that you're adding tonight). Once it's switched on, searching will return to normal. I am actively working on implementing the changes and will make them live as soon as they're ready.
My apologies for not scheduling this maintenance, I hadn't realized that the indexing for new documents required to be disabled until just a few minutes ago.
Last note: This applies to resume keyword searching for newer documents. You will still be able to search older documents and do name/title searches in the mean time.
P.S.: Search operates the same no matter if you're a free or pro account, it was just a coincidence that this maintenance is taking place around the time of your upgrade. |
