Submitting Candidates - multiple recipients
Message

While submitting a profile/s to client we generally have to send the profile to more then 1 recipient. However in the candidate submission through job order we can only submit to one person directly associate to that job. We cant even cc a second person. Please advise a workaround for the time being and expedite a permanent solution where we can submit the shortlist to any of the recipients associated to the company.

I believe we've covered this in other threads. The feature is being redone to include features such as this.

In the mean time, you can simply use your email client or the standard outgoing email form in CATS where you can already add attachments, multiple recipients, etc...

Hi Tony,
Any updates on this yet?
Plus while doing a workaround - when we are sending a fully sanitized profile by clicking on the email icon in front of the candidate doc that takes us to the Activities tab where we compose the email. The Problem here is that the candidates CV attachment has his full name which we sanitised in the CV. How can we rename the document? Or why isn't there a functionality in CATS which will replace the candidates original CV name, whatever it may be, to a auto generated ID, which can also be a search able ID?

Hi Anyone and Everyone,

Any updates on this issue? We need a permanent solution not just a walk around. We need to be able to send out fully sanitised profile to clients. The problem now is:

1. We have to edit the original profile before sending and loose all the deleted data as there is no way of making a copy of the original document.
2. Even after editing the document we cannot edit the name of the document which goes out to the client anyways.

Possible solution:
1. When the profile is imported, saved, added from browser, added from outlook, added from Word,.... CATS should first save the profile within the system under its original senders name and save another duplicate copy under a random serial number.

All this will be covered when the feature is done.

Hi All,

How are you doing on this enhancement - the forums have suggested this feature would be added as far back as November 2009. I'm getting the impression that this requirement is not really in development at all.

Would appreciate an accurate ETA for this, as my staff is avoiding the use of CATS to do submissions and since the submissions now require steps outside of CATS, we are loosing the tracking of submissions, which in turn is putting our metrics into question.

I want to be able to accurately track submissions, to interviews, to offers, to placements, but with the current system I'm challenged to ensure the submissions are accurately recorded.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Kind Regards,
Chris

Chris,

This feature isn't really a "new" way of submissions, what we're talking about is really just automating a multi-step process into one easy action:

1) Polishing the resume to make any necessary alterations or cleanups.
2) Emailing a resume to a single or multiple hiring manager(s) or client(s).
3) Setting the candidate status to submitted with a time stamp and notes.

All of these actions can be performed as of now, they're just not in a single action. I agree this process is bloated and should be simplified, but in the mean time at least setting the status to submitted will fulfill all requirements for reporting and submissions.

We've talked about this feature for several months because we've developed it once and want to avoid developing it more than twice. It may seem simple for one particular workflow, but there are so many variations of how people submit candidates with their business model and what features we should (or should not) perform, that it's a complex problem that requires an elegant solution.

I can assure you that we're working on it, in my opinion it's probably on the top of the list as to what we're actively working on. I can't give you an exact date because I honestly don't know. Again in the my opinion, with the number of requests and our current work load, I don't think we're talking about more than another week or two -- but don't quote me on that as anything can happen.
